To download the installation file to your computer, click on the following link.  This downloads a zip file, which is about 95 MB.  Once downloaded, double-click on the zip file to open it, and then double-click on Setup.exe to run the installation.

 

Download AnAqSim

 

During installation, if your system does not have the current Microsoft .NET version and/or the Microsoft installer that AnAqSim requires, it will be downloaded from Microsoft’s web site.  Near the end of installation, the licensing software component used by AnAqSim is installed.

 

Running AnAqSim

 

Run AnAqSim from the Start menu on your computer.  When you first run AnAqSim, it takes several seconds for the program to load because, like all .net programs, there is a final just-in-time compile step.  This delay only occurs once, though.

 

Licensing

 

The installed AnAqSim is unlicensed and cannot do many critical functions until you activate a valid license.  Once you have purchased a license or requested a trial, activate it with the following steps:

 

1. Install and run AnAqSim. Select Get Site Code under the License menu, which generates a computer-specific code that is needed to link the license to the computer.  This code is displayed and copied to the system clipboard.
2. Paste the site code from the clipboard into an email to Fitts Geosolutions requesting a site key.  Fitts Geosolutions will send an email response with the site key that works with your computer for the licensed amount of time.
3. Once you receive the site key, select License/Register with Site Key and copy the site key into the text box in the dialog and press the OK button.  The run log should display confirmation that you now have a valid license.
4. Once this is done, AnAqSim should be fully functional until the license expires.

Trial License

 

You may request a trial 7-day license to check out the full version of AnAqSim on one computer.  Email Fitts Geosoutions with your request and your site code as described above.

 

Getting Started

Once your license is established, become familiar with AnAqSim by reading through the first sections of the User Guide, which is available from within AnAqSim (Help menu) or from the computer’s Start menu (AnAqSim/User Guide).  At a minimum, read from the Introduction through the Quick Start Tutorial section.  The rest of the User Guide gives detailed instructions about the menu system and user interface.
